Question: When was the fire code regulations in Chatham Borough instituted?
Answer: The fire code enforced in Chatham Borough is the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code. It is the same fire code enforced in every municipality. The New Jersey State Fire Code was enacted at two different times, the Fire Prevention Code was adopted on February 19, 1985 and the Fire Safety Code was adopted on June 19, 1986.
