Chatham Borough Residents: 2019 Memberships
The tennis courts are available to Chatham Borough members.
Borough residents who would like to use the courts are asked to please visit the Borough Municipal Building Recreation Office weekdays between 9am and 3pm to obtain a 2019 membership card.
Please bring a one-inch size head shot photo we can laminate onto your card along with a current driver’s license and JCPL or PSEG bill both with your name and borough address.
Borough students wanting a membership can bring their school photo ID.
At the time member cards are issued, the code for the tennis gate, along with the rules will be distributed.
Those unable to visit weekdays, can make a copy of their utility bill and driver's license and insert a one-inch size headshot photo into a sealed envelope. Mark the envelope Recreation and mail it to the Chatham Borough Municipal Building, 54 Fairmount Avenue, or drop it into the secure mail box on the side of the Municipal Building by the Police Door.
Tennis Lessons - Foundation Tennis
Foundation Tennis is designed to introduce beginners and those with some experience to the fundamentals of tennis. Each session will focus on a specific skill including stroke technique, serving, court awareness, and rallying. (Please note participants are required to provide their own tennis racket for this program).
Ages 5-8 from 1:30 to 2:30
Ages 8 - 10 from 2:30 to 3:30.
Ages 11-14 from 3:30 to 4:30.
