Chatham Borough Recreation is committed to providing a broad range of recreational opportunities. Many Chatham Recreation Programs and activities are offered jointly with Chatham Township and others working in conjunction with Chatham based "Clubs."

Activities that are offered jointly with Chatham Township or with a Chatham based "Club" are all listed, with information, on the Joint Chatham Recreation website at chathamrecreation.org. Those activities include: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Football, Lacrosse, Skiing, Soccer, Softball, Special Needs Programs, Track, Wrestling and Adult Basketball, Volleyball and Softball. Activities offered, to our residents, are a success due to the cooperation of volunteers who give their time to our community.

Chatham Borough continues to administer its Borough-owned tennis courts, municipal pool, playgrounds and parks.

Chatham Borough participates in McArp (Morris County Adaptive Recreation Program), is offered Golf Permits to the Millburn Par 3 Golf Course and assists with funding for the Senior Center of the Chathams.

Recreation Areas:

• Shepard Kollock Park, located off Parrott Mill Road, offers a covered picnic shelter, an all-purpose field, baseball and softball diamonds, a boat launch, a playground and a walking trail.
• Memorial Park, located on North Passaic Avenue, offers a playground, softball diamonds, an all-purpose field, basketball, picnic tables and a swimming pool.
• Memorial Park Pool, located on North Passaic Avenue, is open to Chatham residents and area non-residents. Please see the Pool category on the sidebar. The pool opens Memorial Day and closes Labor Day. 
• Lum Field, located off Lum Avenue, offers baseball and softball diamonds, an all-purpose field, a netted lacrosse practice area, an enclosed lacrosse practice wall and a small-sided soccer practice field.
• Garden Park, located off Main Street adjacent to the Chatham Middle School, offers tennis practice boards, tennis courts, basketball and a playground. A walking path will be installed in the spring/summer.
• Stanley Park, located on River Road adjacent to the Passaic River, offers a small picnic area.
