Undergrounding Advisory Committee

Mission Statement

To explore the viability of replacing some or all of the Borough’s overhead cables providing electrical power and telecommunication links (including for telephone, Internet, and cable television networks) with underground cables. Conduct a feasibility study of said replacement considering the environment, aesthetic enhancement, engineering practicability, financial soundness, and minimization of both social disruption and economic cost. To construct a coalition of surrounding municipalities for the purpose of strengthening the prospects of proceeding with such a project.
