Water

The Borough of Chatham provides water service to it residents. Bills are sent on a quarterly basis. For billing questions please call 973-635-0674 extension 214.

Sewerage

Billing for sewerage is done on a quarterly basis; and charges appear along with those for water in a combined bill. The fees for sewerage are based on metered water consumption, and are measured in cubic feet. For further questions on billing please call 973-635-0674 extension 214. If emergency sewer back up should occur, please phone the police department at 973-635-8000.

Solid Waste

Garbage & Recycling Information can be found here. Pick-up dates are determined by the location of each residence.

All items are to be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. on the day of pick up, but not before 5:00 p.m. the night before. For a list of dates and important phone numbers, calendars may be obtained at Borough Hall. For solid waste questions, please call 973-635-0674 extension 214.
