The Department of Public Works will be collecting leaves at the curb weekly throughout the borough using the vacuum method from October 16th through November 27th. Please do not place leaves at the curb after Sunday November 26th. Once the vacuum crews have passed your house they will not return for the season.
BAGGED LEAF COLLECTION will take place on two days in mid-December. Tuesday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 12th the DPW will pick up leaf bags placed at curbside. Residents are responsible for purchasing paper bags. Plastic bags will not be collected.
Operating hours in the fall months are Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 11:45am and 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Wood is available and free for residents; no power tools are allowed at the mulch site.
Wood and leaf mulch is available for delivery; $30 for 2.5 yards and $50 for 5 yards. Please call 973-635-5242 to set up your delivery.
Who maintains the shade trees by the roadside? The Borough maintains a public right of way, which may vary from street to street but averages usually ten (10) feet from the curb line. The Department of Public Works maintains all trees in the public right of way.
PSE&G Gas System Reinforcement Program
Starting in May, and over the next several months, PSE&G will be undertaking a gas system reinforcement program which will encompass multiple roads in the Borough.
Please see the map for proposed project location. PSE&G is responsible for notifying residents when they will be on their street.
