Dog & Cat Licensing

Residents with dogs and cats are required to license their pets. As required by the state, dogs must be vaccinated for the license year before a license is issued, and a copy of the rabies vaccination certificate is required. Morris County has free Rabies Clinics throughout the winter months. The license fee for a spayed/neutered dog is $21.00 per year. For non-spayed/ neutered animals the fee is $24.00. Renewals of existing licenses are due by January 31 of each year. A late fee of $10.00 is charged for all renewals received after this date. Paper applications are also available at Borough Hall.
