Chatham Borough Finance Department is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Finance Clerk position within the Water & Sewer Office, under the supervision of the Tax Department. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, accurate, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. This individual must be able to interact professionally with the public and coworkers while effectively transitioning between a variety of responsibilities. Key duties include processing daily deposits; handling tax, water/sewer and solid waste billing and collections; processing parking permits; and performing other duties assigned by the Tax Collector. Applicants must demonstrate strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of Edmunds Software is required. The successful candidate must be capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a municipal finance office is preferred.
